2006 Honda Civic Si - the best civic
ever? |
|
Honda has gained the respect of tuners and
been one of the most sought after brand names in recent years. The
Honda Civic is by no surprise the "tuner's choice" when selecting a car to
modify, thanks in part to heavy support from the aftermarket
industry. For all those tuners, things just got a lot better…
In 2006, Honda hit a home run by infusing their racing heritage to produce
what we see as the best Civic ever. How does a close-ratio race
inspired 6 speed tranny connected to a limited slip sound? Match
that up with a K20 i-VTEC engine that will redline at 8000 RPM…
whoa! Package it all in an aerodynamic body with looks that kill and
you've got the stuff that dreams are made of. As Honda puts it… "The
Power of Dreams." The new Si takes the Civic platform to a whole new
level in performance, handling, and safety. Four wheel disc brakes
bring all that speed to a quick stop and you've got a choice of 17 or 18
inch wheels wrapped in Michelin tires. Slip into the ergonomic driver's seat and
you'll notice a fresh upgrade for 2006. A two-tier instrument
panel gives the pilot a heads up on equipment operations. We think
the new Si is as sweet inside as it looks outside. It's got the best
looks and performance to match. Let all 197 horses loose… the most
ever in a stock Civic. If that doesn't float your boat, there will
be a list of aftermarket suppliers to help you build the Civic of your
dreams. No other car is more tunable or has more factory support
when it comes to making modifications. The black Civic Si in our pictures is
sporting 18" HFP wheels. For more information on the new Civic and
