Air Intake - Air plays a
vital role in the overall performance of your engine. An engine
first and foremost needs to breathe. Don't get enough
cool air into your engine, and it's like taking a fish out of water.
To get the most bang out of every power stroke, be
sure to use a good quality air filter. Aftermarket performance air
filters are far superior to what comes from the
factory in terms of flow and particle filtering. Read all
manufacturers instructions before using your filter as
some may require a lightweight oil lubricant to protect your engine
from sucking in dirt and debris. A quality
air intake system can net an extra 5 to 10 horsepower and is one of
the easiest ways to boost performance.
